Shri Devender Yadav joins the sanitation drive by Block Congress Committees in all the 258 blocks to mark Gandhi Jayanti— motivates Congress workers to strengthen the party at the booth level
NEW DELHI, October 2, 2024—Delhi Congress workers, under the leadership of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav, held monthly meetings and cleanliness drive in all the 258 Block Congress Committees of Delhi today. Shri Devender Yadav joined the cleanliness drive to mark Gandhi Jayanti at many Blocks which boosted the enthusiasm and morale of the Congress workers. Shri Devender Yadav also attended the monthly meetings of the Block Congress Committees and discussed the roadmap for the Delhi Assembly elections.
Shri Devender Yadav visited Gandhi Samadhi at Rajghat in the morning to offer floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Gandhi Jayanti. He also offered floral tribute at the Samadhi of late Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Shri Devender Yadav, along with a large number of Congress workers and leaders, also offered floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan.
Besides Shri Devender Yadav, prominent other leaders who participated in the monthly Block Congress Committee meetings and the cleanliness drive were ex-MPs, ex-MLAs, Municipal Councillors, ex-Councillors, prominent citizens of the respective blocks, office-bearers of all the frontal organizations and thousands of local residents.
Shri Devender Yadav said that Gandhi Ji’s peaceful agitations and his principled stand on various issues were the guiding principles of the country’s journey and progress, as they were relevant more so now as they encourage and motivate people to approach any difficult situation with confidence and assurance.
Shri Devender Yadav said that the chaos in governance by the Aam Aadmi Party in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the Delhi Government have destroyed the infrastructure of the city and made the lives of the people miserable. He said that people now want Congress back in power, for which every Congress worker should come forward and strengthen the party at all levels, and enlighten people about the utter failures of the AAP and BJP Governments.
