To safeguard the Right to Work and ensure decent working conditions, India has several laws and labour codes:

1.      Code on Wages, 2019 – Ensures minimum wages and timely payment.

2.      Code on Social Security, 2020 – Provides for benefits like pension, health insurance, and maternity.

3.      Industrial Relations Code, 2020 – Protects the rights of workers to organize, strike, and engage in collective bargaining.

4.      Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 – Regulates workplace safety and worker welfare.

Other important acts include:

·         Minimum Wages Act, 1948

·         Payment of Wages Act, 1936

·         Factories Act, 1948

·         Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013

·         Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986
