 NORTH DMC RECEIVED 11267  APPLICATIONS FOR         PM SVANIDHI YOJNA

 

            North Delhi Mayor , Mr. Jai Prakash today inspected the Prime Minister’s Svanidhi Yojna camp organised at Dussehra ground, Mukherjee Nagar to enrol street vendors for loan under the scheme. He was accompanied by Chairman Civil Lines Zone Ward Committee, Mr. Raja Iqbal Singh, Area councillor, Ms. Pooja Madan and Deputy Commissioner of Civil Lines Zone, Mr. Rajesh Goyal.

 

Mayor, Mr. Jai Prakash informed that North DMC is proactively working for the scheme and would achieve its target of 15000 fixed for 31^st December, 2020 for the Local Body. He said so far, 11267 applications have been received for letter of recommendation for loan out of which 8819 have been approved and 631 are in process of finalization while 1817 applications have been rejected.

 

Mayor said that North DMC acting proactively is organising camps in each of the ward to facilitate street vendors specially in the weekly bazaar areas to assist the vendors in filling up letter of recommendation applications and loan applications. Besides this,  Adhar Enrolment/ Updation centres have been set-up in each and every zone to link the mobile numbers with Adhar as OTP generated is sent to Adhar Link Mobile number for uploading.

 

Mr. Jai Prakash said that the North DMC is also helping the street vendors to upload their applications for loan even after issuing letter of recommendation so that they donot have to run towards banks for the purpose. To aware the street vendors about the PM Svanidi Yojna,  special arrangements have been made which include banners and public address systems. The members of Town Vending Committees and Pradhans of weekly bazaar are also consulted and sought their help for reaching maximum of street vendors.
