NORTH DELHI MUNICIPAL CORPORATION INAUGURATES WALL OF KINDNESS ON REPUBLIC DAY

On this Republic Day, North Delhi Municipal Corporation has taken a novel initiative and converted a dump yard into a Wall of Kindness at Main Pusa Roundabout. The Wall of Kindness is an effort to reduce and reuse the discarded items.

While inaugurating the Wall, Sh. Jai Prakash, Mayor NDMC said that there are a lot of people who want to discard their old belongings like clothes, books, shoes, toys etc. which can be used by the underprivileged. Wall of Kindness will allow them to donate such items that can be taken by anybody in need. The Wall of Kindness is situated at the Main Pusa roundabout.

Sh. Himanshu Gupta Deputy Commissioner Karol Bagh informed that there was a dump yard which was lying vacant for past many years near the pusa roundabout. The dump yard has been remodeled into the Wall of Kindness.  To make it attractive, Delhi Street Art Group was engaged which painted Gond Art on the Wall. The wall also has an interesting caption “ Dilli Dilwale Ki- Dil Se Daan Kare”. So let us not simply discard our old belongings as waste. Visit the area and donate such old belongings which can be useful for the under -privileged.

On the occasion Karol Bagh Ward Committee Chairman, Mr. Tejram Four, Councillors, Mr. Paramjeet Singh Rana, Mr. Ramesh Kumar, BJP senior leader, Mr. R.P. Singh and corporation officials were also present.
