NEW DELHI, April 9, 2024—Former Delhi Minister Shri Haroon Yusuf said that the Congress Nyay Patra (Manifesto) for the Lok Sabha elections  was the voice of the people, reflecting their hopes, aspirations, concerns, worries, difficulties and neglects  which Shri Rahul Gandhi had experienced first hand during his Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, respectively, across the country. He said that the manifesto was drafted to provide relief to all sections of people, with .Congress offering five guarantees, with each guarantee having five assurances for a total of 25.

 

Addressing a press conference at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan here today, along with senior leader Shri Chattar Singh and spokesperson Shri Anuj Attrey, Shri Haroon Yusuf said that the Congress manifesto was a comprehensive document with Congress president Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Shri Rahul Gandhi giving personal attention to the details in the Nyay Patra for the welfare and uplift of all category of people. He said that under the BJP rule, inequality between the rich on the one hand and the poor and the middle class  on the other hand have increased sharply, dealing a body blow to the goals of equality,  equity and social and economic justice. He said that the decline in the growth rate has serious consequences for the people, especially for those who belong to the poor and the middle classes. He said that the BJP was targeting the Congress Nyay Patra because the communal party’s  Guarantees have no warranty. 

 

Shri Haroon Yusuf said that  the Congress manifesto was drafted after careful deliberations unlike the BJP, which only made hollow promises in the past 10 years to deceive and neglect the people.  He said that Congress will fulfil the aspirations of crores of people across the country, as people have been experiencing untold misery for the past ten years, under the BJP Government.

 

Shri Chattar Singh said that Congress’ guarantees to the youth, women, farmers, workers and equity include Rs one lakh yearly stipend for educated youth to do apprenticeship for their first job, filling up 30 lakh job vacancies in various Government departments, Rs one lakh per year to the woman head of a poor family, legal gurantee for MSP for farmers under the Swaminathan Commission formula as well as debt relief, Rs 400 per day minimum wage for workers under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, social audit and nation-wide Socio-Economic and Caste Census to enumerate the castes for affirmative action. He said that Congress will come out with a Delhi-specific manifesto for addressing the issues of Delhi, including the toxic air pollution, which aggregated in the Capital due to the inaction of the BJP Government at the Centre.

 

Shri Haroon Yusuf said that Congress’ other gurantees include Rs 5000 crore start-up fund for youth, 50 per cent reservation for women in Government jobs, Constitutional amendment to remove the 50 per cent reservation cap to provide full reservation to SC/ST and OBC and Rs 25 lakh health cover for workers, and free treatment in hospitals. He said that all these guarantees will be implemented as soon as Congress assumes power at the Centre.

 

Shri Anuj Attrey said that Congress fulfills the promises it makes to the people. He said that under the Dr Manmohan Singh Government at the Centre, the UPA Government implemented the RTI Act, Right to Education, Rural Employment Guarantee and Food Security Act, to empower the people.He said that the Congress Government also strengthened the economy of the country, but due to the destructive policies of the BJP Government, the economy of the country was in tatters.now.

 

TWO  BJP FORMER  COUNCILLORS JOIN CONGRESS

Three senior BJP leaders, Shri Chattar Singh Racchoya and former Municipal Councillors Bhoomi Racchoya and Jyoti Rachoya today joined Delhi Congress in the presence of Shri Haroon Yusuf, Shri Chattar Singh and Shri Anuj Attrey. They were given the Congress scarf to welcome them into the Congress family, and promised that they would be given suitable positions in the party. They said that they left BJP as they were disillusioned with the communal agenda of the BJP without doing anything for the welfare of the people.

भारतीय नववर्ष के मंगलाचार में उमड़ा सैलाब

सूर्य संवेदना पुष्पे, दीप्ति कारुण्यगंधने। लब्ध्वा शुभं नववर्षेऽस्मिन कुर्यात्सर्वस्य मंगलम्॥ 

अर्थात् जिस तरह सूर्य प्रकाश देता है, संवेदना करुणा को जन्म देती है, पुष्प सदैव महकता रहता है, उसी तरह आने वाला हमारा यह नूतन वर्ष आपके लिए हर दिन, हर पल के लिए मंगलमय हो। 

इन्हीं मंगलकामनाओं के साथ सिर पर मंगल कलश धारण करके मंगल गीत गाती हुईं मातृशक्ति शहर के मुख्य बाजारों से गुजरीं, अवसर था चैत्र शुक्ल प्रतिपदा संवत 2081 अर्थात् भारतीय नववर्ष का। भारतीय प्राचीन अचूक अकाट्य कालगणना के आधार पर सम्पूर्ण सनातन संस्कृति में यह नववर्ष परम्परा के रूप में शामिल है जिसकी साक्षी घर-घर में बनाई जाने वाली गुड़ की लपसी और मंदिर स्थानकों शक्तिपीठों में होने वाली घट स्थापना है। 

इसी नववर्ष को जन-जन का उत्सव बनाने का संकल्प लेकर बढ़ी भारतीय नववर्ष समाजोत्सव समिति उदयपुर के तत्वाधान में मंगलवार को उदयपुर में विशाल शोभायात्रा निकाली गई। शोभायात्रा में बड़ी संख्या में शामिल आबाल-वृद्ध का उत्साह झलका। पारम्परिक लहरिया पहनकर मंगल कलश लेकर चलीं विशाल मातृशक्ति और अश्व सवार होकर शौर्य का प्रदर्शन करतीं युवतियों को देख अभिभूत शहरवासियों ने यही कहा, मेवाड़ वीरांगनाओं की धरा है।  

कलश यात्रा दोपहर 3 बजे बाद फतह स्कूल से रवाना हुई जो सूरजपोल पहुंच कर ठीक इसी समय नगर निगम प्रांगण से रवाना हुई मुख्य शोभायात्रा में समाहित हो गई। शोभायात्रा में मोटरसाइकिल सवार युवा, डीजे, डांडिया नृत्य करते दल उत्साह से चले। शोभायात्रा में 11 बग्घियों में संतवृंद बिराजमान रहे। उनके साथ धर्म ग्रंथ की झांकी, यज्ञ हवन करते हुए झांकी सहित विभिन्न समाज-संगठनों, स्कूलों की झांकियां रहीं। एक झांकी में मेवाड़ का पारंपरिक गवरी नृत्य करते जनजाति बंधुओं का दल आकर्षण का केन्द्र रहा। बीच-बीच में डीजे साउंड पर युवा नाचते चले। 

शोभायात्रा नगर निगम प्रांगण से सूरजपोल, बापू बाजार, देहलीगेट, अश्विनी बाजार, हाथीपोल, चेतक सर्कल होते हुए महाराणा भूपाल स्टेडियम पहुंची। जगह-जगह शोभायात्रा का स्वागत हुआ। शोभायात्रा के अंत में एम्बुलेंस की व्यवस्था रही। कुल 2000 कार्यकर्ता सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में रहे जिसमें बहनें भी शामिल थीं। 

खूब लहराया भगवा 

-शोभायात्रा में युवा ‘कृणवंतो विश्वमार्यम’, ‘कंधों से ऊंची छाती नहीं होती, धर्म से बड़ी कोई जाति नहीं होती’ जैसे संदेश लिखी तख्तियां लेकर चल रहे थे। युवा जय श्रीराम अंकित भगवा पताकाएं देशभक्ति से ओत-प्रोत गीतों पर लहराते चल रहे थे। 

मार्ग में जगह-जगह पेयजल की व्यवस्था 

-मौसम को देखते हुए शोभायात्रा मार्ग में जगह-जगह पेयजल की व्यवस्था रखी गई। खास बात यह रही कि पेयजल की व्यवस्था उन अन्य मार्गों पर भी थी जहां से शोभायात्रा में शामिल होने के लिए समाजजन आ रहे थे। 

हाथोंहाथ सफाई

-पेयजल या अन्य किसी अल्पाहार की व्यवस्था करने वाले संगठनों, समितियों ने स्वच्छता का भी पूरा ध्यान रखा। सामग्री वितरण करने वाले कार्यकर्ताओं ने बाद में तुरंत बिखरे हुए कचरे को एकत्र का उचित स्थान पर रखा।

NEW DELHI,—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Arvinder Singh Lovely said that it was deeply disturbing that the latest unemployment rate in Delhi, which is higher than the national average, has exposed the Modi Government’s hollow promise of providing 2 crore jobs per year to the unemployed.

 

Shri Lovely said that it was shocking that the Unemployment Rate (UR) in Delhi, which was 5.1 per cent for men and 6 per cent for women, was higher than the national average of 4.4% for men and 3.3% for women, for which the BJP Government at the Centre was solely responsible. He said that by 2036, the city’s population was projected  to  reach 2.65 crore, creating more unemployed youth in the national Capital if the present trend of unemployment rate continues. He said that the BJP Government has failed to address the unemployment situation in the national Capital, other than making hollow promises.

 

Shri Lovely said that the seven BJP MPs from Delhi did nothing to generate job opportunities, as the small and medium businesses, which provided bulk of job opportunities to the youth, were forced out of business as the Modi Government, which coerced business houses to shell out funds through Electoral Bonds for the BJP without helping the businesses to grow, barring a chosen few industrial houses. He said that due to sealing of shops and business establishments, the wrong implementation of GST and demonetization, job opportunities in Delhi were terribly impacted for which the Delhi MPs and the Modi Government were solely responsible.

 

Shri Lovely said that the Congress Nyay Patra was drawn up after careful deliberations, and discussions with various stakeholders, to address the unemployment situation in the country, and providing relief to all categories of the people when  the party comes to power. He said that in the past ten years, the Modi Government  had fed the people  with promises, without giving them jobs.
