Bjp ruled MCD and Arvind Government should take immediate steps to check the surge of Malaria, Chikungunya and Dengue cases, which were lurking when Corona cases were peaking---Ch. Anil Kumar

NEW DELHI, June 27, 2021---Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Ch. Anil Kumar said that even though the arrival of monsoon rains has been delayed, Delhiites have no respite from the Malaria-Chikungunya-Dengue menace, as the BJP-ruled MCDs and the Delhi Government, as always, have delayed desilting of drains, and have not removed the muck from places where the desilting works have been done, which is resulting in huge number of Mosquitoes who are posing grave health risk to citizens.

Ch Anil Kumar said that amidst the din and chaos  of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, both the Municipal Corporations and the Delhi Government had relegated  their other civic works to the back burner, and as a result, the vector-born diseases have been making a quiet surge.

Ch. Anil Kumar said that Capital have been reporting more and more cases of Malaria, Chikungunya and Dengue cases in the past few days, and when the monsoon rains hit the Capital with intensity, the Arvind Government will be caught napping, and then the blame-game starts with the BJP-ruled MCDs.

Ch. Anil Kumar said that now that Chief Minister Arvind has pleaded with the Opposition parties to end the Oxygen controversy and allow him to 'work', after a Supreme Court-appointed panel, in its interim report, had indicted the Arvind Government for creating an Oxygen scare demanding more quantity than Delhi's actual requirement, he should focus on the hitherto neglected areas and take prompt steps to check the spread of the vector-born diseases, which are as deadly and debilitating as the Covid virus. BjP ruled MCD and Kejriwal ruled Delhi Government should immediately start drive to medicate, Fogging and all possible means which will stop the spreading of Larva and Mosquitoes

Ch. Anil Kumar said that the Covid-19 pandemic had exposed the terrible condition of Government hospitals, and the invisible Mohalla Clinics in the Capital. He said that instead of fooling the people with hollow assurances, the Arvind Government and BJP should utilise the breather from the Covid pandemic surge, to ramp up facilities in hospitals, to face any kind of medical emergency.
